Meet the team

Lisa has worked in public relations, sales and marketing for more than 20 years. She started her career with leading international PR agency, Grayling where she worked on a range of high profile and award winning campaigns. In 2003, Lisa took on a marketing role within the food retail and catering sectors before setting out on her own, initially as a freelance PR consultant and then establishing Fresh in 2005.

Lisa is passionate about the business and shares this enthusiasm with clients and the team alike. With Fresh, Lisa strives to nurture a new model for how PR companies operate; creating what is hopefully an enjoyable and fulfilling way of working for the team and which delivers exceptional results for clients.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys taking her family on camping adventures in Europe and spending time in or near the sea.

Nathalie is a professional communications practitioner with extensive experience of planning, direction, management and execution of communication activities. She has worked in communications for over 20 years and joined Fresh in 2016.

She has gained her expertise through full service PR agencies, with clients in a wide variety of sectors including B2B, tech, science, travel, healthcare, FMCG, food and drink, and social justice.

Prior to Fresh, Nathalie worked in-house in the voluntary sector for the Zoological Society of London (owner and operator of London Zoo and Whipsnade),  and in the public sector for the Food Standards Agency – an independent government department.

Nathalie is an experienced crisis management specialist who has worked on numerous high profile crisis management projects, including the 2013 horsemeat issue. She has planned high profile media events and briefed senior cabinet ministers for news interviews.

Nathalie managed the communications element of a cross-government project to engage UK consumers in a neutral dialogue on GM and worked as part of the team managing media activity for the Papal visit in 2010.

Throughout her career she has overseen effective communications with a wide variety of audiences from the media to stakeholders – to internal audiences, parliamentarians and direct to consumers. She has managed teams, devised strategy and overseen implementation of many successful comms campaigns. She has managed major government comms projects and briefed senior cabinet ministers.

Outside of work Nathalie enjoys yoga, live music and looking after her many animals!

From increasing the number of visitors to Somerset to promoting sales of Cornish pasties, everything Abby does is carried out with talent, passion and enthusiasm.
She started working in public relations in 2002, when she joined leading PR agency, Grayling. During her time at the company she gained extensive experience in developing and implementing award-winning consumer campaigns for a vast range of clients. In 2007 she made the decision to leave the consultancy to work on a freelance basis and subsequently joined the Fresh network.

She has particular expertise in the travel, leisure and food and drink sectors, creating consumer and trade facing campaigns for the likes of Somerset Tourism, Cornwall Council, Cornwall Development Company, Proper Cornish Food Company, English Heritage, Air New Zealand and the Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative.

More recently Abby has focussed on stakeholder relations and community engagement programmes for a number of development schemes in Bristol and Cornwall, including The Wave and Higher Newham Farm.

Having lived in Venice for a year, Abby is a huge fan of all things Italian. When not at home enjoying life in Cornwall, she can be found brushing up her Italian on family holidays to Emilia Romagna.

With many years experience in the PR industry, Katy has a strong track record in devising and implementing effective communication campaigns, and delivering excellent results.

A Bristol University graduate, Katy began her career at international PR agency, Grayling, co-ordinating a range of consumer and business-to-business campaigns for organisations such as the Organic Milk Suppliers Co-operative, Investors in People UK and the MITIE Group.

In 2004, Katy joined JBP Public Relations and was soon directing high-profile campaigns, including an award-winning campaign to help Children’s Hospice South West raise £15m for a new hospice near Bristol. Here Katy also gained a wealth of experience working for public sector clients, such as LSC Apprenticeships, and the IoD.

Katy joined the Fresh team in 2010. Her clients include Ignition Credit plc, Bristol Uniforms and Cornwall Mobility.

Outside work, Katy enjoys running and singing (but not at the same time!). She belongs to a nine-strong ‘a cappella’ harmony group, regularly performing at events in and around Bristol.

Described by clients as a talented, enthusiastic, passionate and conscientious individual, Becky has over 20 years experience in the PR industry and has worked as part of Fresh for 10 years. Her specialisms include stakeholder engagement, public consultation, community relations, issues management, event management, copy writing and media relations.

She has experience across a wide range of industries and sectors with clients including Bristol Uniforms, Cornwall Services, National Grid, Highways England, Bristol International Airport, and GE Healthcare in Wales.

Becky is experienced in creating and managing tailored communications and stakeholder engagement programmes.  She works on complex planning projects, taking technical information and creating clear, concise public-facing materials for stakeholder engagement. She’s experienced at organising events and exhibitions and has more recently taken these skills online, utilising the latest technology and delivering virtual exhibitions and Teams live events.

Outside of work Becky enjoys cooking, walking and spending time with her family in Woolacombe, North Devon.

Matthew Sutherland

With a BEng in Engineering and a background in IT sales and marketing, Matthew joined Lisa in setting up Fresh in 2006. Matt manages much of the administration and finance side of the business and has recently taken Fresh through the BCorp accreditation process.

Matt is a keen sportsman and outdoor adventurer and can often be found in the surf, on a bike or running along Cornwall’s coast path.
